The Christiana Bedell Preparatory School is owned by the children of the late Christiana Serian Morgan Bedell, born April 16, 1912, died December 4, 1990.
She taught in many schools in Liberia for more than forty-six (46) years and this school is named in her honor. She taught at the Zordee Mission, Mahir Mission in Bomi County, Cape Palmas High School in Maryland County, Convent School, B.W. Harris Episcopal High School, Monrovia Training Institute (known as MC), Monrovia Demonstration Elementary School, New Port Junior High School, etc.
The school was established on April 3, 1991 under the leadership of Comfort Bedell Marshall who with the cooperation of some prominent person whose children first attended the study class which eventually grew and was transformed to this school. These are the name of the parents who embraced the idea and decided to register their children into the institution. Those parents are:

This school was established to de traumatize our kids and community as well. A board of directors operates this school. The members of the board elect the chairman of the board.
The Christiana Bedell Preparatory School does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed or religion. The school is dedicated to the principle of caring for pre-school children in the best possible manner. Our primary goal is to provide a high quality group experience for children. Learning is a personal experience, therefore, the school is committed to conduct work on a pre-school level by training children in good habits and finally to assist in guiding children in developing them as an individual.
We strive in the overall ambitious goal of the government of Liberia in the reduction of illiteracy in our post war country. But most especially, we focus on giving our student solid education foundation that will have a life time effect.

The School was established on April 3, 1991 under the leadership of Comfort Bedell Marshall with the assistance of some of the first prominent parents whose children attended the first study classes and embraced her idea to change the study class to an Early Childhood School. The Christiana Bedell Preparatory School was then established as a Christian School.

Our School Flag
The dark blue represents the darkness during the Liberia Civil Crisis that took place at which time the school was established in the midst of the Liberian Civil Crisis. The white field represents the first ceased fired; which also represents peace. The Red Cross represents all of the children that died during the Liberia Civil Crisis.
